Fall Is My Fave…Now

I can say that fall is my fave now, but when I was a little girl…..not so much. It was the time of year when school started, and I was a weepy nervous mess of a little girl during that time of year. It always took me several weeks to readjust to the changes.

It’s funny… I still have moments when I get that homesick feeling on fall afternoons. I don’t think it will ever completely go away, but I can enjoy fall now as an adult without the anxiety and nausea that used to accompany it.  Isn’t it funny how our emotions and memories are so closely connected with things like seasons, smells, and even the angle of the sunlight in the afternoon?

Change

I’ve always had trouble adjusting to change, but as an adult I have learned that change is not always bad, and it’s part of life. That doesn’t mean I enjoy change, but I have learned to deal with it. My faith and trust in God has helped me to deal with change and understand that it’s necessary for growth. Just like the earth has it’s seasons (winter, spring, summer, and fall), we too have seasons of life.

God’s Word explains it like this….

Ecc. 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

Do you struggle with change? Is fall your fave, too?

Oddly enough that\’s how I\’ve always felt about fall up until recently (I\’m 36 now). I used to tell anyone who asked it was just bc it was the time of the year everything dies and them it gets cold but I\’m sure the feelings from when I was a child played a big part in it. Just figured I\’d comment and say you weren\’t alone! Lol
