Breakthrough Session 1: How To Fight Fear When Creating Art

Fight Fear

This is part 1 of a 5 part challenge series for artists.

Fear is the creative mind’s worst enemy. In this video I talk about how to overcome different fears that may pop up when you are creating art.

Assignment for this week:

Go to my gallery online and choose a painting as inspiration to try yourself. Here’s the link to my gallery: https://artbyamandahilburn.com/gallery

While you create this week be mindful of your thoughts and go into the process giving yourself permission to make mistakes, allow experiments, allow generosity with your supplies, and above all….PLAY!

Remember what it was like to draw and paint as a child. Find that sense of wonder, freedom, and playfulness again.

I encourage you to share your playful paintings with me and other artists in my free Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/923070461138477/

Thanks sooo much! I definitely suffer from the “stingy supply” syndrome. Even to the point of not using enough paint on my canvases. Thanks for addressing that… it definitely opened my eyes, and I think I can move forward now and actually “use” my art supplies, lol!
