Famous Artist: Claude Monet

Claude Monet, born, Oscar-Claude, in November 14, 1840 in Paris France. This French painter is credited as the founder of the Impressionist style. He often worked in series producing a repetition of the same study. His repetitive studies are often seen diaplayed in modern gallery showings in groupings. These repetitions can allow art enthusiasts an opportunity to study lighting techniques, and how changes in canvas affect texture and color.
