Paint expressively using a brush.

Over 1,200 artists have tried it! Here are just a few examples of their beautiful work!

I have never been an ‘arty’ person at all, and had no confidence to even try painting despite wanting to because I thought it would turn out to be terrible! But I actually love the way these sunflowers have come out...And have had some great compliments from my family! So thank you for making this tutorial so accessible and easy to follow ---Tanya B.

Hi I'm Amanda!

I love painting and teaching you how to paint! Sunflowers are a great subject for learning how to put down paint in a loose and expressive way. This lesson only takes about 15 minutes, and I believe it will change the way you think about painting with acrylics.

Your Supply List

You only need a few supplies for this!

  1. Mixed media paper or a canvas (I use 11x14 paper)
  2. Medium filbert brush (or any brush you have)
  3. Acrylic Paint:  I recommend heavy bodied paint, and you'll want to look for these names when purchasing the heavy bodied paint: Burnt Umber, Titanium White, Mars Black, Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Yellow Medium and Ultramarine Blue
