If you have been out of your house at all lately, you’ve seen all the home decor covered in buffalo check plaid! It’s trending for sure!

I decided to take on buffalo check with a paint brush first and then a palette knife. The results turned out super cute so I had to share with you!

Here’s a little video tutorial teaching you you to create a buffalo check background that can be used in so many ways!

Here’s the finished black and white background. It turned out soooooo cute!

I used these items in the video.

Palette Knife: https://amzn.to/2OAiG7m

Small Flat Paint Brush: https://amzn.to/2ODhgsF

Acrylic Paint in white, black, grey, and navy blue: https://amzn.to/2KTnzpM

You can do this! It’s super easy and turns out so sweet! Give it a try and let me see what you paint using buffalo check plaid!

Loved this lesson. At 81, never too old to learn something new.

Amanda, Thanks for the tutorial. I recently discovered Blue Bird and your palette knife videos. Lots of fun. I did the buffalo check with a small sponge brush which worked pretty well. Also, as an editor I want to point out that \”end result\” is redundant. Just say \”result\”.
