I would like to introduce you to Melissa Ellington. In the past, she never felt comfortable calling herself an artist, but after joining our Creative Community she does! AND she is selling her artwork!!! Amazing!! Encouraging!! and just one of many!!!
Here’s her story….
I am a retired teacher who loves art and creating beautiful things! I
have worked in fabric, photography, watercolor, and acrylics. I feel so
blessed to have found Amanda and the Little Bluebird Creative
Community! I was lacking drive and inspiration to do art, when I found
a link on Pinterest and then on Facebook to watch the Cotton Painting
Tutorial. I watched it and was hooked! I really enjoy working with a
palette knife and adding paper is so much fun!
Amanda’s personality and teaching style is so encouraging and
supportive, and her willingness to share her talent and ideas is very
refreshing! The most important thing she conveys in her lessons and
sessions is to be yourself, keep practicing and painting, and try new
things! I look forward to our lessons, lives, question and answer
sessions and little things Amanda shares with us!
The Creative Community is an amazing group of artists of all levels and
mediums, who are also willing to share their talents and experiences to
help and encourage others. I feel like I have a bunch of new friends!
I have never felt like I could call myself an artist, but now I can and do,
mostly because I am motivated to paint and share my work with others.
Since joining this group, I have my art in a local florist and gift shop,
where I have been selling small seasonal paintings. I even have a few
customers who have started collecting my small art! And that is crazy
to me!
I am so thankful to be a part of this group! Thank you for giving us a
place to learn and share, Amanda Hilburn. The Little Bluebird Gallery is
a special place!
