Does This Sound Familiar?
- You second guess your creative choices and tend to overwork your paintings.
- You lack creative confidence and have a fear of making mistakes that holds you back.
- You want to loosen up and have an effortless look to your painting style but don't know how.
If you can relate, I created this course just for you!
I'm Amanda Hilburn, a self-taught professional artist, and I've been right where you are! I've been painting for over a decade and I've learned that you need three things working well together to create your best work...your hands, your head, and your heart.
I would love to help you transform your creative process and move...
...from a tight, unsure artist
...to a confident, impressionistic artist who can gather inspiration and create art from your heart!!
This course includes:
- Video instruction and live sessions with artist Amanda Hilburn.
- Exercises to help you loosen up and create your best work.
- Painting instruction with a palette knife and a brush using acrylics.
- Explorations with florals, landscapes, inspiration, originality, and tackling creative blocks.
Module 1 : Use Your Hands
Using your hands is all about technique and skills. This part of the creative process is what we most often focus on as we begin learning to create art.
In this first module, you will explore ways to loosen up as you create your acrylic paintings.
Learn tips and tricks, paint expressive flowers and landscapes, and get answers to your questions in a live session.
Module 2: Mind Your Head
Your mindset is more important as an artist than anything else (in my opinion). When your head works together with your hands, you will begin to create some amazing work!
Learn to trust yourself and find ways to gather inspiration.
Our live session this week will continue to answer any questions you have and coach you through these challenges.
Module 3: Follow Your Heart
The last piece of this puzzle is your heart. This is where you lean into your style, your story, and your individuality. Without using your heart, you'll just be recreating other artists' work.
Learn to create paintings that tell your story. This module will help you paint with purpose, explore individuality, and use tools to get inspiration from other artists, adapt it, and make it your own.
Our final live session will wrap up everything we've learned and answer any final questions you may have.
