Painting with a palette knife will give you so much texture and some unexpected marks in your painting. It also allows you to really loosen up and let go of trying to paint something perfectly. In this video, I show you how I recycled a canvas and created this impressionistic landscape using a palette knife and a brush. I like to go back and forth with those tools as I paint to soften things when I need to or really lay on layers of paint when I want a heavy swoosh of it. I hope this will inspire you to give the palette knife a try!
