Self Care in 2018
Do you have plans for the new year? I do!
I wear a lot of hats. I’m a wife, mother, home school teacher, Bible class teacher, artist, entrepreneur, and homemaker.
I’ve noticed a bad trend in 2017 that I need to change. I haven’t taken time for myself to refuel and nourish my own mind, body, and soul. I know that self care is necessary, but knowing and doing are two different things.
So, as this new year begins, I plan to set some boundaries, nourish my soul with God’s Word, exercise my body, and do more of what calms my mind….which is usually painting. 🙂
What do you do to take care of you?
I’ve also learned that it’s really hard to take care of others if you aren’t taking care of yourself. Basically…it’s impossible.
I love this quote by Eleanor Brownn. It will serve as my reminder for the coming year.
“Rest and self-care are so important. When you take time to replenish your spirit, it allows you to serve others from the overflow. You cannot serve from an empty vessel.”
― Eleanor Brownn
Wishing you the happiest of new years,
Amanda
P.S.
This print is a little reminder that you can do anything but not everything 🙂
