It’s been a while since I wrote a post highlighting another business, but I hope to make this a more permanent happening here on the blog. I have so many talented friends, and I’m so excited to share their work with you!
Do you love monogrammed things like: hats, bags, and jewelry? If so, I’d love to tell you about my friend Jennifer and her home based business Common Threads.
First of all let me say that if it were not for Jennifer, I would not have this new website! She’s very tech-savvy, and was an awesome web coach for me and my sweet husband who both patiently helped me as I was working on my new site! Jennifer is also homeschooling mom and such a sweet Christian lady who helps so many! Now on to the cuteness……
I asked Jennifer to give me a brief summary about Common Threads and a little about how it began. This is what she had to say……
Common Threads began in 2005 as an entrepreneurial home school project. I remember sitting around the dining room table stringing beads into bracelets with my daughters that Thanksgiving. At the time, the girls were ages 11 and 9.
Common Threads has evolved over the past nine years. Now we specialize in monogrammed gifts and engraved jewelry.
My oldest daughter, Jessica, is now a talented artist and will soon be a junior at Freed-Hardeman University. You can see some of her artwork at http://www.artbyjebenavides.com/
Kristen, is an accomplished cake artist. At the age of 14, she started taking cake decorating lessons. Today, she is 18 and owns her own cake decorating business called Home Slice Cakes. http://homeslicecakes.com/ She plans to attend Freed-Hardeman in the fall and study business marketing and management.
