For several years I’ve watched my husband highlight and link passages of Scripture in his Bible. I recently asked him if we could all sit down and do some topical linking together as a family. This is our second linking study, and I wanted to share it with you.
Our topic was taken from 1 Cor. 6:20
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. (1Co 6:20)
We highlighted this verse in our Bibles and then began turning to other passages with the same basic meaning. We highlighted them and wrote the references for all of the others beside each one. Here are our Links and Lights!
In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:

That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;
(1Th 4:4)
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
(Rom 12:1-2)
We discussed how these verses apply to us today and how God wants us to use our bodies to glorify Him. What a great lesson for all of us to contemplate in this world of glorified selfies and swag!
