Palette Knife Painting
I love palette knife painting and especially love painting flowers. Hydrangeas are the most fun and probably one of the best choices for beginners. In the video here, I am creating with a knife, but I also combine a little bit of brush work.
The video is a recording of one of the live sessions that I often share on my Facebook page, The Little Bluebird Gallery. I’d love for you to follow me there!
This is a great way to get a loose, impressionistic look in your flowers. I love it, and hope you’ll give it a try! Using a palette knife takes a bit of practice, but I find it to be easier than using a brush now that I’ve been doing this for a while. If you’d like to learn more, take a look at my course called Flying Lessons where I teach you everything you need to know about painting in this style! This course contains 8 modules of lessons with multiple videos within each module, an 18 page printable companion guide, tips, tricks, and detailed instructions for painting two complete paintings! It’s really the best way to get started with palette knife painting!
Now on to the painting video….
