This Week’s Featured Friend: Sackcloth and Splashes

This week I’m sharing the work of my sweet friend Rachel. She is super creative and her talents range from oil painting to burlap creations! I asked her to tell me a little bit about herself, her work, and how she got started. Here’s what she wrote:
“Being a stay at home mother of two children and a missionary’s wife, I was looking for something to do in my down time, as well as trying to bring in a little extra income.  I have been interested in art since I was a teenager.  I love doing oil paintings and other things.
  In looking for other things to do, I began to like the burlap door hangers, but they were just so expensive.  So, I decided to give it a try.  
I have done many things from wreaths, place mats and table runners, customized pieces to be framed, and the traditional door hangers (many of which have been custom orders).”
